Top King

The game the ads promised.

One hero, a winding road, a horde that fills the screen and a giant at the back. You've tapped that ad before and got something else entirely. Top King is that game, for real: build towers and walls, wade into the horde as a knight or a ranger, and hold the keep for 25 waves.

The ad vs. the game

Mobile ads love this kind of game. Their games, not so much. Here's what you get when you install Top King.

  • In the ads: A hero mows through a horde on a winding road.

In Top King: That's the whole game. You steer the hero, every run.

  • In the ads: Towers pop up along the road as the coins roll in.

In Top King: Build crossbow towers and cannons with the coins the raiders drop.

  • In the ads: A giant boss stomps in at the end.

In Top King: Warlords march in with the horde on the boss waves.

  • In the ads: "Only 1% can beat this level!"

In Top King: No staged fail levels. 25 waves a map that get harder, fair and square.

  • In the ads: Then you install it, and it's a different game.

In Top King: What you see on this page is what you play.

How you play

Each map is a road, a keep at its end, and a horde that grows every wave. Your coins, your towers and your sword decide how far it gets.

Hold the keep

25 waves over five days. Survive until dawn and every coin you saved turns into gems.

Fight on the front line

Your hero walks the road and fights inside the horde. Strike, dodge and grab the coins the raiders drop.

Build your defence

Crossbow towers, cannons, walls, lumber camps and quarries. Every coin you spend is a choice.

Stronger every run

Spend gems on permanent upgrades for your hero, towers, walls and keep, then push a wave further.

Conquer the kingdom

Clear a map to open the road to the next one on the world map.

Green Vale: a winding sandy road through green meadows, crossbow towers along it.1

Green Vale

Rolling meadows and a long, winding road. Where every king starts.

Black Forest: the horde pours out of a cliff gate onto a forest road.2

Black Forest

Cliffs, dark woods and towers on the rocks. Raise military camps and send soldiers to meet the horde.

Frostpeak Pass: snowy switchbacks with braziers and frozen towers.3

Frostpeak Pass

Icy switchbacks and a frozen lake. Keep the braziers burning so your towers don't freeze, and set avalanches on the ridge.

More lands are on the way. Two more are already waiting behind padlocks on the world map.

Choose your hero

Each hero has a skill tree of their own. Unlock a skill and the next ones open up.

The knight: a crowned young king in a blue tunic and cape, a broadsword over his shoulder.

Knight

Wades into the horde with a broadsword. Close up, tough, and every swing hits hard.

  • Sharper Blade
  • Keen Eye
  • Thicker Plate
  • Swift Strikes
  • Light Boots
The ranger: a blonde archer in a green cape, drawing her bow.

Ranger

Picks raiders off from range. With Volley, every shot looses extra arrows at separate enemies.

  • Broadheads
  • Quick Nock
  • Eagle Eye
  • Volley
  • Deadeye

Real gameplay. Promise.

Every shot is captured in the game: the same hero, the same horde and the same towers you get on your phone.

Hold the keep against the horde: the knight fights a red horde on a winding road between crossbow towers. Defeat the warlords: two giant warlords march in the middle of the horde. Play as knight or ranger: the ranger shoots into the horde. Conquer the kingdom: the world map with Green Vale, the Black Forest and the snowy pass. Battle in the Black Forest: the knight surrounded by raiders below the cliffs. Upgrade your heroes and defences: the knight's skill tree and the shared upgrades.

No bait, no switch

Yes, Top King has ads: one optional button after a run that doubles your gems. Never forced, and they don't pretend to be a different game. No loot boxes. Your progress is backed up online, so it survives a new phone.

The horde is real this time

Top King is in testing now and lands on Google Play soon. Same game as on this page, we promise.
